Nuffic awards tailor-made training in Mozambique

The Dutch organisation Nuffic has awarded a Grant to STC International (Lead Partner) and Partners (CINOP, ROTC, STC-Southern Africa). Escola Superior de Ciências Náuticas (ESCN) is the recipient of this project. The aim of the project is the development of (a) tailor-made training for the (international) energy and maritime management sector.

The proposed project shall contribute to the following long-term impact:

  • Ensure access to affordable reliable, sustainable and modern energy; and
  • Maritime sector operates in accordance with international (safety and security) requirements, creating more jobs and added value in infrastructure (transport) development.

The country of execution is Mozambique.
The project shall contribute to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs):

  • SDG 01: No poverty
  • SDG 04: Quality education
  • SDG 17: Partnerships to achieve the goal

The activities under the Grant are part of the Orange Knowledge Programme, which is funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as part of the Netherlands’ development policy and managed by Nuffic.
